This episode, we are happy to welcome wirter, director Ian Kimble to talk about his new film Dead Giveaway.
Dead Giveaway: Hungover Jill finds a dead stranger in her bed. Her morning gets worse: a bound man in her closet, unconscious roommate, and her friend at knifepoint. She must solve it all before her 3PM brunch.
Ian Kimble has been involved in the film industry as a director, writer, and producer for over ten years. He first found his love for storytelling in the theatre, acting in professional regional productions in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area throughout high school. After some college he moved to New York to pursue formal training in multiple acting disciplines and directing for film. He returned to Philadelphia and began his career as a director, actor, and theatre teacher, directing and acting in numerous plays and musicals and teaching acting disciplines to high school and college students at Mainstage Center for the Arts. During this time, he also wrote, directed, and produced a number of short films, several of which achieving success in the festival circuit. Building off the success of his short film, he expanded Dead Giveaway into a feature film. Dead Giveaway completed filming during the summer of 2024 and starred Ruby Modine, Mikaela Hoover, and Scout Taylor-Compton. It will premiere in 2025.
